This is a shameless rip-off from the closing act of Mummenschanz' recent tour. It was a quick motion capture experiment; I put optical dots on a foam rubber tube, and captured the motion as I puppeteered the tube. The motion you get is part puppeteering and part the physical properties of the foam rubber. This is truly a "virtual puppet". I've shown it in a bunch of talks. I hope to find a use for it sometime but will probably get around to dying first.
